Bandari FC have confirmed the signings of Ugandan international centre-back Isaac Mulondo and Kenyan right-back Brian Karimi ahead of the run-in, with the Mombasa club determined to address the defensive vulnerabilities that cost them crucial points in May. Both players are immediately available for selection.
Mulondo: the anchor Bandari needed
The 26-year-old arrives from KCCA FC in Uganda, where he was consistently one of the FUFA Premier League's most composed centre-backs. Standing at 6ft 2in, Mulondo brings an aerial presence the Dockers have lacked since the departure of their previous first-choice centre-back in January. He joins on a deal until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Karimi provides cover and competition
Karimi, 22, arrives from KCB FC having established himself as one of the most attack-minded right-backs in the league. His ability to overlap and deliver from wide positions adds a dimension to Bandari's build-up play that their current right-back options do not offer. The signing creates healthy competition for a position that has been filled by converted midfielders for much of this season.
Bandari sit fourth in the KPL table with six matches remaining. A continental place is within reach, but they must improve on a recent run that has seen them take four points from a possible twelve.
